Qualification and Experience
Applicants for the position must meet the following qualifications and experience criteria:
- Educational Requirements:
- Must be a member of a recognized professional accounting body, such as CA, CPA, ACMA, ACCA, or hold an MBA (Finance) degree from a reputable local or international university/institute recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
- Professional Experience:
- A minimum of 15 years of post-qualification audit experience is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior-level position within a large private or government sector organization.
- Technical Expertise:
- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and international audit standards, particularly for the power sector at national and international levels.
- Proficiency in internal audit functions within an ERP environment, as well as risk assessment, systems, and controls aligned with IIA standards.
- Additional Skills:
- Strong business acumen and sound judgment.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively at senior management and Board levels.
- Compliance:
- Must meet the Fit & Proper Criteria and other conditions outlined in the State-Owned Enterprise Act, 2023.
