Positions available for the 2025 State Election in Western Australia, including Issuing Officer, Student Electoral Officer, Voter Information Officer, General Assistant, Ballot Box Guard, and Queue Controller

We are currently looking for candidates for the following key positions:

Vacant Positions:

  1. Issuing Officer
    • Issues ballot papers to electors, rotates as a ballot box guard and queue controller.
    • After 6 pm, assumes the role of counting officer.
    • Date: 8th March 2025
    • Time: 7:00 am – 9:00 pm
    • Level: 1.1
  2. Student Electoral Officer
    • Assists with polling place duties. Available for Year 11 or 12 students.
    • Date: 8th March 2025
    • Time: 7:00 am – 6:00 pm
    • Level: 1.1
  3. Voter Information Officer
    • Provides support for culturally and linguistically diverse or Indigenous electors.
    • Date: 24th February – 8th March 2025
    • Time: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm (24th Feb – 7th Mar) and 7:00 am – 9:00 pm (8th Mar)
    • Level: 1.1
  4. General Assistant
    • Assists with polling place setup, counting, and packing up on polling day.
    • Date: 7th – 8th March 2025
    • Time: 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm (7th Mar) and 5:30 pm – 10:30 pm (8th Mar)
    • Level: 1.1
  5. Ballot Box Guard
    • Ensures the correct placement of ballot papers in the ballot boxes and assists with counting duties after 6 pm.
    • Date: 8th March 2025
    • Time: 7:00 am – 9:00 pm
    • Level: 1.1
  6. Queue Controller
    • Manages queues at the polling place and assists with ballot issuing and counting.
    • Date: 8th March 2025
    • Time: 7:00 am – 9:00 pm
    • Level: 1.1
