About the Organization
The Planning and Development Department (P&DD) of the Government of Sindh is tasked with planning and development in the entire province. The department manages external assistance in collaboration with donors and ministries and prepares all development schemes, programs and proposals, providing recommendations to the government. In addition, it monitors and evaluates the progress of development programs and coordinates with national planning agencies, ministries, departments and donors.

Qualifications and Experience
PhD in Economics from a recognized university with at least 8 years of professional experience in project/program planning, analysis and data management. Experience working with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and donor agencies will be an added advantage.
OR
Master of Economics from a recognized university with at least 12 years of relevant experience in project/program planning, analysis and data management. Experience working with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and donor agencies will be an added advantage.
Joint Chief Economist
Qualifications and Experience
Master of Economics from a recognized university with at least 10 years of professional experience in project/program planning, analysis and data management. Experience working with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and donor agencies will be an added advantage.
OR
PhD in Economics from a recognized university with at least 6 years of professional experience in project/program planning, analysis and data management. Experience working with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and donor agencies will be an added advantage.
Requirements
Applicants should not be above 62 years of age (as on the last date of application). Selected candidates will be offered a salary/compensation package as per Management Post Scale-1 (MP-I) and Management Post Scale (MP-II) as per Sindh Management Post Scales Policy, 2022 SO(SGA&CD)6-32/: 2021, 29.12.2022
The initial contract will be for a period of two (2) years which may be extended based on satisfactory performance appraisals, recommendations of the Head of Department and approval of the Chief Minister Sindh.
