The role of Executive Officer is a key leadership position responsible for managing Board and Executive-level agendas and overseeing strategic information flows within the Office of the CEO. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role ensures alignment between key strategic objectives and corporate priorities. This full-time, permanent position is based in Pyrmont, NSW, and offers a competitive salary of $127,747 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation. The ideal candidate will have strong business administration expertise, with experience in board secretariat services and executive support. The role requires strong prioritisation skills to manage multiple high-level responsibilities. A deep understanding of Australia’s cultural and creative industries is highly desirable.
Key responsibilities include coordinating the secretariat services for the Australia Council Board, Executive, and Councils, ensuring strategic alignment of agendas, drafting reports and communications on behalf of the CEO, and providing high-level support on organisational initiatives. The Executive Officer will also oversee action registers and project outcomes to maintain efficiency and momentum across operations.
