Job Description
Our team in South West Sydney is seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner who holds Proficient or Advanced level suitability, as confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting NDIS participants and their families or carers through assessment and person-centred planning.
- Developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support environment.
- Creating meaningful goals and practical strategies aligned with the positive behaviour support framework, focused on eliminating restrictive practices in the home and community.
- Ensuring support plans reflect each participant’s goals, strengths, and passions.
- Building the knowledge and capacity of those supporting participants, such as family, carers, and friends.
- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team and mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.

About You
- Significant experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with a registered NDIS provider OR confirmed suitability at the Proficient or Advanced level via the NDIS Commission’s self-assessment application.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Genuine passion for working in the disability sector and mentoring others.
- Solution-focused with a proactive attitude, and motivated to improve through new ideas.
Qualifications
- Current suitability confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at the Proficient or Advanced level.
- A degree in an allied health discipline is an advantage but not essential.
